​IBADAN, OYO STATE – In a move to cushion the harsh economic effects of the recent fuel price hike, Governor Seyi Makinde has officially approved a ₦10,000 monthly transportation allowance for the state’s civil servants.

​A Win for Labor Advocacy

​The approval follows a formal request and strategic intervention by the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). The NLC Chairman, Comrade Kayode Martins, confirmed the development on Monday, March 23, 2026, expressing appreciation for the governor’s responsiveness to the plight of the workforce.
