ABUJA – Popular cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Center following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja on April 1, 2026.
The "Billpoint" founder is facing multiple count charges, including impersonation and forgery, stemming from a legal battle with activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The Charges: Fake Ambassadorships and Forged Documents
The court proceedings revealed a series of alleged fraudulent activities used to promote Blord's various apps and gadgets. According to VDM, the charges include:
- Forgery of Travel Documents: Blord allegedly forged flight tickets in VDM's name to claim the activist was attending a product launch in Onitsha.
- False Ambassadorship: Claims were made that VDM was paid ₦500 million to be a brand ambassador—a claim the activist denies.
- Unauthorized Use of Likeness: Blord reportedly printed billboards and fliers featuring VDM’s face to promote the "Billpoint" and "Blunt Gadget" apps without permission.
The Court’s Decision
Following the arraignment, the judge ordered Blord to be remanded for 26 days. This means the celebrity entrepreneur will spend the 2026 Easter period in custody while the legal process continues.
