A 28-year-old Las Vegas woman, Ahmonique Miller, has tragically passed away just hours after undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure in Miami. The cause of death was later confirmed by an autopsy as acute combined drug toxicity.

Miller had traveled from Las Vegas to Florida with her sister, Kiera Barnes, on March 5 to receive cosmetic enhancements at Avana Plastic Surgery. On March 7, she underwent both the BBL and liposuction.

Reports indicate that after the procedure, Miller was allegedly given medication that had not been prescribed to her. She was put to bed between 12 noon and 1 p.m., but concerns grew later that night when she had not woken up. Around 9:30 p.m., staff checked on her and found her unresponsive. Emergency services were called, but Miller was pronounced dead by 10:26 p.m. When police arrived, they found her heavily bandaged, lying face down, and already showing signs of rigor mortis.

The tragic incident has sparked various reactions online. Social media users expressed sorrow and concern, with some questioning the necessity of the procedure given her appearance, while others warned against cosmetic surgeries, urging self-acceptance and natural fitness. Several comments highlighted the recurring issue of BBL-related deaths in Miami, suggesting a systemic problem within the industry.
