KADUNA – The Nigerian military is mourning the loss of a senior officer, Maj. AM Abubakar, who died in a road traffic accident on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
The accident occurred at Azara village, near Jere in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. According to security sources, the crash involved a commercial Sharon bus and a BUA Cement truck.

Maj. Abubakar, who was an active student at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, was reportedly a passenger in the commercial bus at the time of the collision.
