JOS/ABUJA – Popular actor and activist Adebowale Adebayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the brutal killing of at least 40 Nigerians in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area.
The attack, which occurred on Monday, saw gunmen storm the community in large numbers, opening fire on residents. Despite the high death toll and the growing tension in Plateau State, the President has yet to issue a direct address to the nation, a silence that Mr Macaroni describes as "unacceptable."
The Activist's Stance
Taking to social media to express his fury, the entertainer questioned the government's perceived detachment from the tragedies affecting ordinary citizens.
"I cannot understand how 40 Nigerians have been confirmed dead in Jos and the President of the country does not deem it necessary to address the people!" Macaroni stated.
Escalating Insecurity
The Jos killings are part of a worrying spike in violence across the North and other regions. While Governor Caleb Mutfwang has pledged justice for the victims of the Anguwan Rukuba attack, the lack of a centralized, federal response has left many Nigerians feeling vulnerable and unheard.
