Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has vehemently denied recent claims circulating online that he consulted a native doctor regarding his prospects for reelection in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial poll. In a statement released on Wednesday by Christian Aburime, the Governor's Press Secretary, the government dismissed the allegations as "totally false" and "maliciously fabricated."

The statement clarified that a video clip being circulated, which purportedly shows the Governor engaging with a native doctor, was actually recorded during a casual meeting with Anambra-based content creators. During this session, one of the content creators performed a skit, a common comedic genre in Nigerian entertainment, to demonstrate their creative abilities.

The government expressed its disappointment that critics and political opponents would intentionally misrepresent this video to disseminate misinformation. Governor Soludo's administration highlighted its commitment to fostering Anambra's creative economy, citing projects such as the recently commissioned Solution Fun City as evidence. The public was urged to disregard the misleading information and to verify content before sharing or amplifying it.

The press release concluded by emphasizing that Governor Soludo's primary focus remains firmly on the development of Anambra State and the successful delivery of his "Solution Agenda."
