Good news for travelers to and from Ebonyi State! The Chuba Okadigbo Airport in Onueke, Ezza South LGA, is set to begin commercial flight operations this Thursday, June 13, 2025. This was announced by Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu, the Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, in Abakaliki.
The flights will be handled by United Nigeria Airline. Initially, flights will run between Abuja and Onueke (Ebonyi State) on June 13, and then between Lagos and Onueke (Ebonyi State) on June 18. After that, flights will operate every Monday and Friday.
For now, you can't book tickets online. All bookings and payments for the ₦100,000 fare (for both Abuja to Onueke and Onueke to Abuja routes) must be made directly to the Ebonyi State Government's account, specifically for the Ministry of Aviation and Transport Technology in Abakaliki. The airport is under strict watch by aviation authorities to ensure everything runs smoothly.
