The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a public alert following the seizure of a dangerous consignment of illicit psychoactive substances cunningly disguised as regular green tea. Femi Babafemi, the agency's spokesperson, broke the news this past Sunday on X (formerly Twitter), urging Nigerians to be extra vigilant.
Babafemi highlighted the deceptive nature of the seized goods, explaining that while the packaging and outward appearance clearly indicated a green tea import, the true and undisclosed contents were potent psychoactive substances. He starkly warned that consuming this "tea" could lead to severe mental disorientation, underscoring the critical importance of public awareness in the face of such covert drug trafficking attempts.
