Imagine an iPhone so big it needs eight people to lift it and has a flashlight brighter than car headlights – that's exactly what tech YouTuber Arun Maini, known as Mrwhosetheboss, has created! To celebrate passing Apple's official YouTube channel in subscribers, Arun teamed up with fellow creator DIYPerks to build a giant, working replica of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This massive device stands over two meters tall, weighs more than a refrigerator, and has even earned a Guinness World Record.
While it looks exactly like an iPhone 15 Pro Max on the outside, the inside is a custom-built powerhouse. It's basically a high-end computer disguised as a phone, running on Android (though it can also run Windows) and packed with a super-fast Intel i9 processor, tons of memory (128 GB RAM), and a powerful graphics card. This means it can do everything a normal phone can, like making calls, sending texts, and Browse social media, but it can also handle demanding tasks like playing intense video games such as Cyberpunk 2077 at its highest settings – something no regular phone could ever do.
The "screen" is an enormous 88-inch OLED panel, the kind you usually find in super-expensive TVs. Making this huge TV screen work as a touchscreen for a phone was a challenge, but they managed it using a special glue, even though it ruined their first attempt. The final touchscreen works perfectly, allowing users to pinch, tap, and swipe just like on a regular iPhone. They even made a video call from 30 meters away to prove its functionality.
But what truly makes this giant phone stand out are its extra features. The flashlight alone blasts out 400 watts of light, so powerful it needed its own water-cooling system to stay safe. The whole thing is powered by two massive batteries, far more powerful than any smartphone battery. For its camera, it uses a high-end Canon camera and a Sony zoom camera that can zoom in incredibly far. The sound system is equally impressive, with eight speakers and four subwoofers, delivering much louder audio than a typical iPhone. Even the buttons feel just like a real iPhone's, thanks to a special air-powered system.
