Jane Doe has previously become emotional in court, recounting upsetting details of the alleged abuse, including forced, drug-fueled group sex events that Combs reportedly called “freak-offs.” These events are a major part of the federal case against him.
Prosecutors claim that Combs, 55, used his fame and business to control and manipulate women for years. According to testimony, Combs used violence and threats to force Jane Doe, singer Cassie Ventura, and other women into sexual acts that sometimes lasted for days.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people for prostitution. If found guilty, he could face life in prison.
While the trial isn't being shown on TV due to court rules, updates continue to reveal the serious nature of the accusations. On Monday, the jury saw emotional text messages from Jane Doe to Combs, where she begged him to stop the abuse. In one message, she wrote, “I’m not a porn star. I’m not an animal,” asking him to end the drug-fueled sexual encounters. In another from October 2023, she stated, “I need a break. I don’t want to do anything. I’ve hit a wall.”
Breaking down in court, Jane Doe said she felt “used” and “dehumanized.” She explained, “I was referring to not wanting to give my body to anybody else, period.” In more messages from September 2023, she told Combs she was realizing what was truly happening: “I don’t want to be used and locked in a room to fulfill your fantasies… I don’t want to feel obligated to keep performing these nights with you out of fear of losing the roof over my head.”
Despite her pleas, Combs allegedly ignored her messages. A voice recording played in court had him complaining about being “sick in bed” and insisting, “This is a true open relationship, why do you have to make it a problem?”
Even more damaging evidence presented on Monday included August 2023 messages where Combs allegedly demanded explicit videos from Jane Doe, even when he was with another woman. When she hesitated, he responded, “Just do what I say, please. I’m horny… Stop it, don’t say no to me, please.” The trial is ongoing, with more testimony expected soon.
