President Bola Tinubu has once again told his security chiefs to bring lasting peace to Benue State. This renewed order comes after a fresh wave of revenge attacks led to many deaths. Following the president's directive, top intelligence officials, the police, and the military have already arrived in Benue to take charge of security operations and restore order.

President Tinubu has also instructed the Benue State governor to organize meetings and discussions between the groups involved in the conflict. The goal is to stop the continuous violence and create lasting peace and good relationships between farmers, herders, and various communities.

Calling the killings and bloodshed "inhuman and against progress," President Tinubu urged political and community leaders in the troubled areas to stop making the crisis worse with careless words and statements that could stir up more tension. He also told them to control those who provoke others and start revenge attacks.

"The latest news of senseless killings in Benue State is very sad," President Tinubu stated. "We cannot let this violence continue unchecked. Enough is enough." He added that he has told security agencies to act quickly, arrest those responsible for these terrible acts on all sides of the conflict, and bring them to justice.

President Tinubu also called on political and community leaders in Benue State to be responsible and avoid inflammatory comments that could increase tensions and lead to more deaths. He emphasized, "Now is the time for Governor Alia to act like a true leader and immediately start the process of dialogue and reconciliation that will bring peace to Benue. Our people must live in peace, and it is possible when leaders from all sides work together in harmony, and differences are identified and resolved with fairness, openness, and justice."
